The best time of year for a developed flavour is during "second flush” (end of May or end of June) in this period Darjeelings are incomparable to any other tea in the world.
Established in 1859 and originally called Bara-Ringtong after the two rivers that flow through the estate. By the 1930’s the garden was owned by Mr Bagdon

who visited regularly from London, he had two daughters the younger was called Margaret, and upon visiting the garden with her father for the first time, she fell in love with

its enchanting charm saying to her father she "hoped one day to return and make it her home."
Unfortunately, she fell ill on board a ship on the journey back to England and died soon afterwards, in her memory her father renamed the estate.

My favourite tea

The tea has a lovely hint of honey, it is almost moorish to drink. Delightful to sip on a wintery morning. The orangey tones if brewed for not too long (I let it sit for 4 minutes) and colour of the tea is just magical.
I am astonished how fast the delivery service was! Thank you.

Unbelievably Fast Delivery

What I'm wondering is do you have a plane standing by to fly my tea over and then a motorbike courier waiting to delivery it to my door? Delivery is so very fast! Thank goodness because I only had a couple of cups left when I realised I had forgotten to place my usual order. Placed order yesterday and it arrived at midday - amazing.

Delicious tea, in so many ways

We drink this at breakfast, brewed for quite a long time, just adding a tiny splash of milk. And in the afternoon black, the first cup poured almost straight off the leaves and a second cup obviously brewed a bit longer. It's refreshing, aromatic, tasty in all these different styles.
