A great Pekoe gunpowder with a refreshingly cool heady combination, all natural minty fresh flavouring and a sweetish finish.

The best tea we have found to use is Pekoe Gunpowder from the Uva region of Sri Lanka. Once immersed in water, the pellets gracefully open to reveal a full leaf.

Gunpowder teas typically have a dark coppery green colour, and produce a pale yellow-green infusion, with a smooth slightly smoky cup and a sweetish finish.

The tea is highly receptive to the addition of our natural flavourings and produces a very satisfying infusion.

An absolute delight, the characteristically intense flavour of the herb infuses sweet minty notes that blend beautifully with the tea's mellow and slightly smoky profile.

Absolutely delicious

It starts with a sharp, mint aroma as you spoon the leaves into the pot; then patiently wait for the water to come safely off the boil and add to the leaves. The mint is then lessened by the green tea prior to pouring; by which time both flavours are perfectly in balance. I thought I might not like this that much, but it has converted me - it’s delicious.
