TeaCakes Own Decaffeinated
A fantastic full taste with wholesome notes of toffee and malt, having a deep and lively rosy colour.
In the South West Corner of the rift valley lies the small but bustling Kericho Town, the pristine tea estate's are the major employer in the area.
Ideally located on the shores of Lake Victoria with its moisture-laden atmosphere, on the hills of the South-Western Mao National Reserve, the tea estates have a unique micro-climate.As the warm air gently rises to the hills the water condenses to mist and the area has high average rainfall resulting in sweet luscious growth, and a crisp flavour.
Here at TeaCakes of Yorkshire, we have the best teas available and we insist the process of removing caffeine is done chemical free. Our teas are briefly soaked in exceptionally pure water and gently flushed with Co2.
The CO2 binds to the caffeine molecules and removes them from the tea leaving behind all the natural proteins that give tea its flavour. It also leaves many of the polyphenols and antioxidants intact so it’s still great for you.
We have tasted many samples for this decaffeinated but the Kericho leaf stands out as the malty flavour is very satisfying, and is a great way to end a meal, but being caffeine free it will not keep you awake at night.
Bright and coppery it really is an outstanding example of how all decaffeinated tea should taste.

Super efficient delivery with the added surprise of a free taster tea 😀 love this tea. It is so smooth I have reordered & recommended to friends - thank you TeaCakes I’m now a real tea convert - Cathy
I bought a caddy of this on Amazon for myself for Christmas as I'd heard about the glue that's in most teabags and wanted to be more eco friendly. It's fantastic! I subsequently bought a cheaper brand but it wasn't nearly as good so have gone back to Teacakes. I'd defy anyone to tell it's decaf. It's delicious!
Bought for my niece for Xmas

This was my first purchase of TeaCakes tea, and it's gone down very well in our house - we have very hard water which often limits the taste from tea, especially decaf, but there's no issue here. The flavour comes through very well, even after a short brewing time, so we shall be purchasing more :)
This caddy sits with the teacakes own, and may days I prefer the decaf. full taste, decent price for a decaf, service always perfect, fast and well packed and the free samples mixed up and a good intro to different things. thankyou.
