£2.45

 Chocolate Charm

For the Chocolate lovers an indulgent blend of the best herbs and only naturally the best chocolate. Great on a winter evening.

Grown exclusively on the Western Cape of South Africa in the shadow of the Cederberg mountains,

Rooibos in Afrikaans is "red bush."

Cederberg/South Africa

In Asia. it is known as "long life tea"Many believe it has anti-ageing effects and is taken to soothe the body's reaction to allergies and rashes.

A Swedish botanist Carl Thunberg first saw the people of the Cape of South Africa make a tasty aromatic drink from the needle-like leaves of the wild plants specifically the rooibos plant. After harvest the plants were chopped up with axes and then bruised with heavy implements, the leaves would left to ferment before drying in the sun.

Rooibos seeds are planted during February and March. They are tended for 18 months, Upon summer harvest the leaves of the plant are trimmed and bruised ready for oxidisation, which much like the fermentation of tea allows the leaves to develop.
A green rooibos with a lighter, drier, flavour can be made from the same plant without undergoing the oxidisation process.

200 ml (about 7 ounces) of brewed Rooibos contains the following nutrients:
Iron (Fe) Essential for transport of oxygen in the blood 0.07 mg
Potassium (K) Assists certain metabolic functions 7.12 mg
Calcium (Ca) Necessary for strong teeth and bones 1.09 mg
Copper (Cu) Assists certain metabolic processes 0.07 mg
Zinc (Zn) Necessary for normal growth and development of healthy skin 0.04 mg
Magnesium (Mg) Assists a healthy nervous system and other metabolic processes 1.57 mg
Manganese (Mn) Assists metabolic processes and bone growth and development 0.04 mg

It's just one of those combinations that on paper should not work, but it more than works its a revelation, don't take our word for it try some of this

Chocolate indulgence

We normally order Rooibos Good Hope which we have as our day to day tea which is really excellent. Got a free sample of Chocolate charm a while ago and decided to try it with a 1000g purchase. So glad we did. Instant hit with us but only as an evening drink. Blanace between rooibos and chocolate is just perfect. Flavours are so subtle. Not sickly sweet like I had imagined (which is probably why we hadn't tried it) but so naturally sweet (but not too much). Our indulgence is to have it with a couple of squares of Lindt Excellence 65% cocoa which complements it just right. Give it a try.

Lovely and comforting in these uncertain times

Received this as a sample with my regular order. Previously I haven’t been keen on redbush, however with the chocolate and herb flavour it is really lovely. I will be ordering this too next time around.
Thank you 😊

Interesting with definite chocolate flavour

The advantages of this tea is that it is decaffeinated and it is possible to obtain a definite chocolate flavour without the calories!
We had a sample size and although we did not dislike it I am not sure we will buy more at present.

Different and decadent

Never tried this tea before but it’s shot straight into my favourites with its rich and indulgent flavour. If you like Rooibos then you should definitely try this.
